Case Study: Operation Warm – Coats for Kids
- Objective: Operation Warm was looking to increase local funding and awareness of a national program which provides children in need, new coats at the start of the cold season in Chicagoland.
- Strategy: We formed a local social group to host an annual dinner dance fundraiser party. The team generates monies and helps distribute coats in Chicago Public Libraries. When the children pick up their new coats, they are exposed to their local library branch, are encouraged to sign up for library cards and are offered a free new book to take home.
- Results: Funds are generated via the annual party and silent auction. Coats are distributed to children in need who along with their families experience a library to encourage literacy. This fundraiser generates enough funds for 2,000+ coats for children in Chicago. PR coverage has included television news coverage, digital/print newspaper and social media.
